Honey is one of the oldest foods we have access to; the beautiful work of a bee, spoken of in the most ancient texts, and created after long hot days of toil that most of us never stop to think about. It should be something we honor. Instead we buy it in a plastic bear and squeeze it into our tea without looking. I cast this bear in bronze because I wanted to give that overlooked little thing some weight, some longevity. Something you remember, you can hold, and even find a little glimmer of joy within.
